Froggy Fiesta - Summer Quilt

I blogged this back in December. I was making it secretly for a friend who had a baby due in January (mid summer here - whew!). She loves animals and all things green and environmental, so the feature fabric was perfect. I nearly bought it for her before she was pregnant and as soon as I heard I ran out and got it. Then I designed the quilt - from scratch. Wow. What a labour of love that was! I'm very pleased with how it turned out, and Bub has just got to the age where she is reaching for anything and everything colourful - and the quilt is a favourite! I find it hard to get a good photo of everything, as QuiltDog Patches just HAS to get in the way and test out every quilt!

  1. Very summery quilt! If summery IS a word it described it perfectly ...

Love the colors and the frogs. Whimsical and fun :)

Love your doggy too. Mine always has to get on my quilts the second they're on the floor. What it is about dogs??

Are those frogs small panels or did you applique the images?

  6. I have cats in all my quilt photos...I can relate. This is a fabulous LABOR of LOVE quilt. I did something similar when my Sister had her first, made a wallhanging to match her nursery decor.

    You can see it here:
