Fabric Tuesday

These little lovelies arrived from Want It, Need It, Quilt! which has fabulous prices for those of us in Australia who are used to paying the earth for either fabric or postage.

Talk about contrast! I like BunnyHill designs Puttin' on the Ritz for the muted traditional colours and the elegance, but I'm TOTALLY in love with Kate Spain's design flair and use of bright colours in Terrrain. It's so me. There's not a  fabric in this line that I'd remove from the pack, which is unusual. There's a layer cake coming for my birthday next month, I hope - gentle hints have been dropped in the form of emails with links to the layer-cake and "Subject: Birthday Present". I'm nothing if not subtle. Unless there's an intervention planned (which is possibly needed).

I'll show you a closer pic of some of Etchings, as it's not as widely publicisied as Terrain so you may not have seen it.

Etchings, I love some of it, particularly the maps of Paris - such a beautiful city, I MUST go back - but not all of it. I'm really not sure what this one is going to be yet. I think this one is going to take a while to 'talk' to me (some fabric is more reticent than other fabric at letting me know what it wants to be) so I'll pop it in the cupboard for a while I think... There's plenty of other fabric yelling for attention.
As I said, intervention required...

    With you on the Terrain. Love it. Also with you on the fabriholic thing! I decided not to add up how much yardage I was buying because sometimes it is just better not to know!

    Ah, yes; yarn is like that too - sometimes you have to wait for it to tell you what it wants to be! Must be a fibre thing!! LOL
