Mug Rug World Tour Update

Hurrah! We have some new travellers on our mugrug world tour. Have you signed up yet? Wouldn't you like to travel the world, see different places from different perspectives, get to know locals with quilty interests, and all for FREE without leaving your home?!
Grab a button - code is on the right- and put it on your blog. Have a look at the permanent page and sign up by emailing me or join the flickr group. Make a mugrug themed by your place (or somewhere you love) and add the pic or send it to me to add. :)

The uber-connected Teje at Nero's Post and Patch in CRETE (wow, I'd never even thought of Crete!) has promised a mugrug and has enlisted a few others as well. How exciting to have all these places represented!
So hopefully, we'll get:
as well as having some promised from England, Ireland and Morrocco...
(Japan and Scotland are already up - take a look at the main page to see the beautiful, beautiful work of Julie and Rhianon.)

I was having trouble thinking beyond cliches until I discovered http://www.design-seeds.com/ which has opened up a world of possibilities! Now I'm seeing colour palettes everywhere. This one is lovely.
What would your place's colour palette look like?

cheers
Laura

  1. being very new to quilting I may not manage to get round to a mugrug... I have a few projects I must get done by Christmas and I'm not so fast yet!

But I think this a great theme! I've lived in upstate NY almost as long as I've been quilting (about 6 months!)... my color pallet would be some blue for the lakes (lots of them with the Finger Lakes and Lake Ontario) and some white for the snow (lots of that too!) ...

PS how big is a mugrug?

Yippee - you're commenting! I _love_ comments. :) I've had so much spam lately though that I'm limiting to registered users for a bit to see if that works... If you're a friend, you can find me on Facebook and comment that way if you have trouble.
