Good Fortune iPad Cover

Quick reminder - drawing my Little Apples Giveaway tomorrow (Sunday) so there's still time to comment!
I'm off on holidays later this week and while I ordered a protective case for my iPad, it hasn't even shipped yet. And they are local! I just think that's a bit lazy. Sooo, I needed something for my iPad to travel in.
I had a few squares of my least favourite colour of Good Fortune and thought I'd try something with those.


As I worked with the fabrics, I fell in love with them. They're a bit more timid than some of the other GF fabrics. I'm not really a green person, but this is such a soft pastel khaki/lime - it's really unusual, and it grew on me.

I didn't have enough to line it, and an Amy Butler soul blossom was the closest I had - it works ok.
I even put a little pocket in for my iphone and anything else that might like to go in a pocket!






 I double-lined it - had some thin iron on poly batting which didn't seem quite thick enough so added a layer of thin wool batting. Hope I won't have to wash it!  Quilted rather randomly - still having issues with my machine so had to forgo the fancy thread - it's off to the drs on Thursday - but it looks very nice.
 I love the orange blossom fabric most, so I have that as the centre strip on the front with what I'm thinking of as the 'stream' fabric either side, and dragon flies each side of those, and the stream central on the back, two panels of orange blossom, and the two tone bamboo finishing it off.

And to see if it likes travelling, here are a couple of shots in my garden with some orange nastursiums which are running riot (ignore the weeds!).

    Very cute. I'm sure your iPad is very happy to be cozied up in it's lovley cover. I recently made a cover for my Macbook Pro with some Sweetwater fabric. I love how it turned out. Jacinta
