He doesn't QUITE fit in the pockets, which shows you how generously sized he is. YUM.
I am going to keep him in the fridge until Christmas Day. We have some 37 degree C days coming up and I don't want him turning into a puddle!
I stuffed the rest of the pockets with Lindt squares which are all individually wrapped and sealed so should withstand the heat!
And here it is - all ready for the first of the month!
Now hop over to SewCalGirl's Christmas Quilt show and check out some of the work!
I've never really thought about it before....but half the world is summer in December. Duh! Do you have holiday music and traditions that are regionally appropriate ... That is ones that don't include images of snow?
ReplyDeleteWe ought to....North Texas isn't known for it's cold weather...but the northern climes seem to sing louder this time of year.
Nice advent calendar.
Your advent calendar is adorable.=)

ReplyDeleteMmmm, peppermint frog. Yay Kay. Put him in head first, he might fit better :)
ReplyDeleteJust as well it's not the 375g one. Those guys are hard to break when they're not cold.
I don't miss the 37deg days. But I do miss fresh cherries for xmas.
Yummy advent calendar. My kids had one when they were younger which also had pockets with little surprises. They loved it.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!! I'd be super excited about Christmas just to eat that frog!!

ReplyDeleteMy kind of advent calendar!! We may be in the northern hemisphere, but here in Florida we're in shorts and t-shirts as often as not on Christmas, so I can kinda relate to folks in Australia and South America where snow and ice don't fit the season!
ReplyDeleteLovely advent calendar :)
ReplyDeleteCute Advent calendar.
ReplyDeleteMmm delicious! My favourite brand!
ReplyDeleteLove the Advent calendar, and the chocolate!
ReplyDeleteCheers maggie
This advent calendar is soooo darling! I love that you have to put the frog in the refrigerator as it is so hot! I haven't been hot for the last twelve years that I have lived in the Seattle, Washington, USA area. I especially like the set up of your blog. The trim is lovely and the transparency part is so cool. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteLovely advent calendar. It reminds me that I have to get our one out and fill up all the little pockets!
ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely, bright calendar.
ReplyDeleteNow this is the kind of Advent Calendar I like! One with CANDY! This really is a cute quilt, nice pretty fabrics. You did a good job. I've never heard of chocolate frog either. I'll have to see if I can find some.
