At the start of 2011, I would not have imagined some of the things that have happened on the quilting front. I would not have imagined that:
- My blog would grow from nothing to over 250 followers
- That I'd have such awesome contacts and sponsors as the Fat Quarter Shop, Pink Castle Fabric and Aurifil
- That I'd have a project published in Australian Patchwork and Quilting
- That I'd meet a whole new group of friends and supporters via this blogging medium. I have to say that it's filled a hole and given me some direction in my non-work time. :) Amongst others, MR, Erin, Lucy, Sarah, Julie, Lynne, Giles, Nic, Cindy, Sunni, Danny.... Oh I'm sure I've forgotten some, forgive me please!
Wishing you ALL a very happy and prosperous New Year. Will leave you Northern Hemisphere peeps a photo of where I spent my afternoon.

Happy New Year!

Oh sure. Rub it in! Enjoy the beach. I hope you get sand stuck where the sand don't shine!! Haha. Ok. Maybe I don't. I'm not that mean. I hope you get sand stuck where it can easily be washed off!

I'm always pleased when you southern hemisphere folk get to test out the New Year in plenty of time that us northerners can run and hide from it if it's big and scary with sharp teeth ... glad to hear it's warm and sunny, can't wait for some of that over here!
ReplyDeleteWow, 250 followers! I hadn't realised you had that many! It doesn't seem a moment ago since I followed you on or about number 50! I like havin cool friends! :)

ReplyDeleteI'm sorry. Did I just skip over the rest of the post? Oops :)
You've had a great 2011, but it sounds like your 2012 is going to smash it to pieces. Hulk smash puny 2011! Kinda like that. But you know, the way Hulk says it, to really give it that ring.
It was great "meeting" you last year, and I look forward to seeing what trouble we can talk each other into this year. Oops, did I say that out loud? I meant, I look forward to seeing what you do this year.
Oh, and your pic of the beach doesn't work on me. I've already had the aussie summer and hated it. I rarely went to the beach as I very easily got heat stroke. Here I can enjoy the sun without thinking I might turn to ash :)
