My Rabbit Tree is going off to live with a little girl called Lola... Her mum is in love with it and I'm sure Lola will love it when she's old enough to love a quilt, but it was a little sad saying goodbye. Still, I can't wait to see how the photos turned out in Australian Patchwork and Quilting when it's published as a pattern in March.
Blogger's Choice competition
I left the competition open for three weeks because I didn't think many people would want to bother choosing 15 different fabrics and making a mosaic. I thought I might get 30 entries. There are currently over 260 (with still a week to go). I had NO idea this would go viral in the quiltosphere.Fat Quarter Shop is very happy AND very generous. In case you missed it, there are now THREE 1/2 yard bundles up for grabs!
There are a lot of fabulous bundles. I'm not envying the judges one little bit. It's really interesting to see what people are choosing. So many talented quilt stylists out there! Tangerine is featuring, obviously, with a fair bit of aqua and lime green being thrown in.
Pop back and have a look for yourself. What's your favourite bundle?
It's bigger than Ben Hur. My favourite is the Aqua set by that Quiltjane chick Hee Hee. I like the first one with purple, orange and charcoals.
ReplyDeleteYou started something amazing here - I'm still trying to get my pal who's a bit afraid of mixing fabrics to take part - I'll give her another prod
ReplyDeletebrill - i haven't chosen yet so i should have a go before it closes - and there's 260 already?? odds are reducing as we speak!
ReplyDeleteRabbits are gorgeous, Lucky little girl. This is a quilt that will grow with her for always!
ReplyDeleteFun looking at all the collections. My favorite is 173 (Noga quilts), there is a little of everything in there and 32 (Fallingfor pieces) I just love those colors together.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful rabbit quilt!! Congratulations on the pattern being published.
LOVE that quilt (surprised? LOL!!) I WILL finish up "mine" very very soon! PROMISE!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite bundle is mine, of course! And I LOVE your rabbit quilt! That looks so fantastic! Great job!
ReplyDeleteI wager you'll get AT LEAST 300 entries. I found lots of others that I also like, but I still like mine....The rabbit quilt is lovely!
ReplyDeleteLola will love those adorable rabbits!! Obviously I'm going with my bundle!! ;)
ReplyDeleteI don't know how you could ever part with a beautiful quilt such as this one! Gosh that must have been hard... but I bet Lola will be so pleased with it! :) It really is a very gorgeous quilt. I'm also enjoying viewing the mosaics that people have come up with for your giveaway. Mine looks a little bland amongst all those brightly coloured choices... but I do love my combination of blue, green and grey!
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Erin @ Daisy Doe
Just admit you want to be like me. I post a tree block on Stash Bee and you whip up a whole tree quilt. You are such a copy cat!

ReplyDeletegorgeous quilt!
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely and will be treasured I am sure. Look forward to seeing it in the magazine :)
ReplyDeleteSo great that this went viral and also it's great that FQShop has been so generous with their prizes. I'm guessing this generated a lot of traffic for them, so it's a win-win. My favorite is obviously mine (ha!) but you're right; I don't envy the judges at all. There are some amazing choices out there.
