TGIFF #1 2012

Well I'm afraid I don't have an earth shattering finish for you... Machine issues and general busyness have got in my way. I'm getting soooo frustrated at having quilting (actual quilting of quilts) to be finished and the machine playing up so I'm reluctant or unable to have a good bash at it. Still waiting for a resolution on the Singer issue. My resolution may end up being to throw it out the window...

You may remember I showed you my Iphone cover using Kate Spain's Terrain Fabric.

Well, here is what it was sitting on.

It was one of my holiday aims to make a skirt and I had JUST enough yardage to do it with this Terrain print - yay! :) Might be back into dress making!

And just to show how anal fussy I am about things matching:
Iphone cover, earbud holder and skirt - I'm all styled up!

I also got all my blocks for the FMQAL prepped - that counts as a finish, right?!

Now, have you had a finish this week? Link up and let us know! Or visit some of the other linkies and say congrats. Make sure you sign up on tgiffriday.blogspot.com to find out where the linky party is, and contact us there if you want to host one yourself.

Happy sewing!

Ha ha ha. I forgot you were making a matching earbud pouch. Noice. ;)

lol why should ears not be coordinated, they stick out enough on their own so a little help matching up is a grand idea! it's the new 'shoes must match your handbag'rule for the decade's style-setters! ... of course my own ears are well covered up beneath my great big furry hat so you want know what they match until it gets a lot warmer! (and I don't mean by you guys making my ears burn talking about me!)

As for TGIFF, I need to start a Thank F it's Started! I never seem to have started, much less finished, anything I can shout about! #fail to me on that one! :p

I'm in LOVE with that skirt - the band around it, too! I would love to make one!

I love Terrain too. Your skirt is lovely. What pattern did you use?

Ohhh the skirt is lovely!! That's totally the figure I'm aiming for ;) You look gorgeous! I've made two skirts but they're no where near as nice as this, I love the wasitband :)

I think I mentioned before that I love that print and my 3 yr old would die to have a skirt or dress made with it. She adores anything purple. I've never made clothing but maybe I should try.

Oooh, that's a beautiful skirt! And it fits perfectly. Bravo! And the earbuds pouch is clearly a necessary touch! :)

The matching skirt, phone cover and earbud holder are all wonderful. I need to make the earbud holder, it is so sweet!

That's a lovely skirt in a very beautiful fabric, the piping on the waistband really helps make the fabric pop!

I really like the solids in your blocks for the FMQAL.

Giles is right, matching ears are cool!

I did find something to do a post on this week as finished....wish me luck of having a finish for next week! Heading now to check out everyone else's work.
Yeah, I am anal too, so I love all your matching stuff.

Ooh, love the skirt! A tad bit concerned about all the matching though lol BTW, you know your linky party says November, right? ;o)

I love your skirt (one of my favorite fabric lines). I am thinking of making a little dress for my baby girl out of that exact fabric! I think prepping your squares definitely counts as a finish!

Wonderful skirt, what pattern did you use? And great use of the Terrain fabric. I have a layer cake and a jelly roll sitting on my shelf and have no clue what to make with it (well, a skirt is out of the question, that's for sure).
