My Nina machine is going in for repairs, so I have pulled out a few WIPs that still required bits cut, did some cutting and then pulled out Bernie the Bernette, aka Old Faithful, and did get one top finished.
My other Ole Faithful decided to photo bomb this shoot. She's normally camera shy but Ruby obviously took her fancy. (By the way, Lainey is doing amazingly well. She follows Melody around and is more active than I've seen her in a couple of years. The cooler weather agrees with her and she'll GALLOP through the park for a treat, instead of stopping and refusing to walk any further. I actually had to chase her home to catch her before she hit the road the other day - it was breakfast time. Enough said. She's 13 and on borrowed time, even though she is coughing a bit less and we've cut back on her meds, but it's GREAT that she's having this last hurrah).
I'm just a bit perplexed as how to bind this one. I don't have enough strips of any one print left. Scrappy binding? Solid? Colour?
MissySlack says I have two of the blue blocks out of order and should unpick them, but I'm not sure I can be bothered...
I DO know how I'm going to quilt this one! I think quilting is a bit like a foreign language. I sometimes joke (not really) about fabrics TELLING me how they want to go together. Well, how to quilt things is something I'm getting a little more fluent in, but I'm still hesitant and I stumble. Rather like when you're just learning to speak a foreign language. But fluency comes with time and practise and I can understand what this one is saying.
I've been inspired to make a pun so bad I actually want to slap myself, so go and check out TGIFFriday for a loud groan before you head on over to Gemma's to see her GORGEOUS finish.
And if you're inspired to make a pun yourself, or just have a giggle, don't forget the competition. :)
By the way, Local Honey Crafts has a June UFO challenge on. Fantastic prizes, so click here to take a look...
