1. I hit 400 followers.
2. I got a parcel of fabric I'd ordered from Fabricworm. It was the best fabricporn ever, so I wrote a little poem. That's how excited I got. Fabricworm is and has been one of my favourite shops since I started ordering online. No, they're not a sponsor. (No, I'm not getting freebies. I just love their fabric, their service and their style).
I fussy-cut around some of the Storyboek scenes and bordered them with different size borders. I HAD to use bits of the Storyboek II line as well - it was just too cute not to. The Storyboek II scenes are much bigger than Storyboek I, so that was a challenge.
I was SO grateful for my design wall in arranging and rearranging the blocks!
The baby's nursery is lemon, so I tried to draw some of the yellow out of the fabric too. This is what I came up with.
It's clean, it's simple and it lets the fabrics speak for themselves. I was toying with the idea of appliquéing some apples or flowers or toad stalls, but I think there's enough going on already. I may trapunto the larger scenes to give them a bit more oomph and free motion around them. The tricky decision is what colour to bind it in as I'm out of that coral pearls fabric and don't have enough of anything beside the coral forest scene, and I'm loathe to waste that on binding...
So back to the story of my literary masterpiece entitled 'An Ode to Fabricporn'. and an email from the Worm herself, I was a little cheeky and mentioned Fabulous Thing Number 1 (400+ followers) and said I'd like to do a giveaway, and if they happened to have a fat quarter or two to spare... Cynthia got back to me straight away and asked if a WHOLE FAT QUARTER BUNDLE OF STORYBOEK II would do? Geez Louise, would it ever!!! Dammit, I really should have begged for ME! :)
So some lucky follower will get this gorgeous bundle. It goes to you direct from Fabricworm so a) I save on the shipping and b) I can't snaffle a few pieces or get it "lost in the post". Damn.
400 followers deserves 4 chances to enter..
1. As I don't like my giveaways to be boring, leave me a comment with a rhyming couplet that could be added to my Ode to Fabricporn. (1 comment)

3. Mention this giveaway on your blog or twitter and leave a comment with the URL. (1 comment)

This giveaway is open until next Wednesday, 5pm Western Australia time (That's Tuesday night for some of you!) and don't forget the Echinops and Aster pattern giveaway is still open.
Linking up with Lee for WIP Wednesday!

Your wall quilt is marvelous! I was thinking maybe binding in the lemon yellow? But I just reread and realized that probably the walls are lemon, and that would just disappear. Perhaps pick up the green somehow? But that might be Christmasy.
ReplyDeleteDo you have any of the pearls fabric with the white background and the three colors of pearls? That might look really nice!
My favorite line over at Fabricworm is a toss up between Madrona Road and Out to Sea. They're both so awesome but for entirely different reasons!
ReplyDeleteI tried to write a couplet. It turned into quite a mouthful!
ReplyDeleteCircles show off FabricWorm's vast and great selection,
The modern fabric options belying a certain predilection.
Congrats! I wish I could get 40 followers! I wrote a couplet:
ReplyDeleteThy fabricworm defined is a devotee of fabric
I've met thy rule and filled my entire walk-up attic.
I love your WIP! for binding, I like to choose a color that is featured just a tiny bit in a quilt, so that it still matches, but provides some contrast. I would probably choose a stripe with yellow or green in it.
ReplyDeleteGosh, I can't pick just one line! If I had to, I really like Aneela Hoey's "Walk in the woods".
ReplyDeleteLove the quilt, I would add some embellishments or appliques, maybe yoyos in the corner to give it some dimension. Maybe do the binding in red or the pretty aqua you used in the quilt.
ReplyDeleteThere are lots of favorites at Fabricworm but I really like Out to Sea, but Nursery Versery and all those cool chevrons are a very close 2nd :) Thanks for the giveaway and congrats!
ReplyDeleteFrom Fabricworm and Storyboek a bundle of fat quarters
ReplyDeleteTo turn into a magic quilt to warm our sons and daughers
I tweeted! https://twitter.com/BtrOffThread/status/238155140044034049
ReplyDeleteI'm still a novice but a professional quilter assured me that lots of straight lines calls for curvy quilting!
ReplyDeleteI don't play favourites, all quilting fabrics are good to me!
ReplyDelete400 followers - yay for you and I am so happy to be one of them!! Binding - I was thinking a yellow and white stripe/chevron, or red and white stripe/cevron. Quilting - what about following around the rectangles so they are frames and inside each one doa diff FMQ pattern?
ReplyDeleteCrafty chloe, art thou the cutest
ReplyDeleteOr is it scamper, thy claim on the term it disputest.
Lol I say there are no rules on poetry. I can make up words if I want.
I shared it on twitter. Marialeads
ReplyDeleteI love almost all of what Fabric Worm sell but Chicopee in Relish bundle - wow and yum!!!!
ReplyDeleteMaybe the back could be done in baby blue?
ReplyDeletehttp://www.fabricworm.com/facubuslywo1.html here is my favorite
ReplyDeleteI'd keep it simple for your WIP - just straight line quilting
ReplyDeleteBut one more thing 'bout Heather Ross (she really is divine)
ReplyDeleteNursery Versery probably is her bestest ever line!
LOVE Heather Ross's work so much and so had to make it about her--she makes the best fabricporn EVER!
Congrats on 400--woop woop!!
I love the Daiwabo elephants!
ReplyDeleteA suggestion for finishing... Straight line quilting or wobbly straight line quilting would look good!
ReplyDeleteDef my favourite is Nursery Versery!!
ReplyDeleteThanks again to you and Cynthia for this awesome giveaway celebration!
O I have been eyeing on those fabrics too..And I have to say my favourite shop is also fabricworms.. I love their bundles! I just bought some and waiting impatiently for them to arrive. I must say i love that they carry Monaluna fabrics!
ReplyDeleteThy beauteous colours of pink, purple and a touch of green,
ReplyDeleteThese colours assembleth to form a quilt fit for a queen.
The fav line would have to be Nursery Versery, I love the colours.
ReplyDeleteThey inspired my poem.lol
Sly Woods is one of my favourite!
ReplyDeletegreat quilt and congrats! i'm thinking binding in that yellow strip you used??
ReplyDeleteim loving out to sea right now!
ReplyDeleteSome whimsical quilting would look great on this quilt.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteAh fabric, fabric, I do adore
ReplyDeleteYou make sewing never a chore
Yeah not feeling the poetry love right now. ;)
I'm loving this WiP. I think a grey or yellow binding would look fab!
ReplyDeleteFabricworm has so many great lines - tough to choose. BUT I can't go past Echino. Pretty much any Echino but especially those Flight Stripes. Love love love.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway!
And so for now I bid ado.
ReplyDeleteFabric to fondle in every hue.
Love the campers in Camp Sur by Jay-Cyn Designs for Birch Organic Fabrics (September) at Fabricworm. Congrats on 400 followers!
ReplyDeleteI blogged about the giveaway today:
ReplyDeletehttp://new2quilting.blogspot.com/2012/08/wip-wednesday-82212.html
Cute quilt for the nursery. I would do faux piped binding. Here's a tute:
ReplyDeletehttp://colormequilty.blogspot.com/2012/08/faux-piped-binding.html
What the heck is a rhyming couplet?
ReplyDeleteCan I just have the fabric?...yeah, I bet!
A run of faux piping would look great around the inside edge of the binding!
ReplyDeleteI love Lucy's Crab Shack!
ReplyDeleteSarah Jane Out to Sea is pretty cute!
ReplyDeleteSeaside Cottage, the colours are my favourites!
ReplyDeleteFor the quilting, how about an "organic" wavy line, on the diagonal. I'd use white so as not to overwhelm the centres of the squares.
ReplyDeleteI tried a couplet, pretty bad stuff, I know! Oh, thanks for a great giveaway.
ReplyDeleteFabricworm, Fabricworm, you are my joy
Your offerings delight every girl and boy
Hi Laura! That is so beautiful quilt and those fabrics just adorable! For the binding I would choose green or grey. If it's not coming too big you could make a border with yellow and binding with green or white. Thank you so much for a fantastic give away! x Teje
ReplyDelete... knit and cut, play with the dog, dress is done! Hmmm I really tried, but if I could say it in Finnish ...
ReplyDeleteWhen I read your post I decided to say that because you didn't think well and ask these fabrics for yourself, we share them ... but then you said that you won't even see them ... so now I hope they all come to me!
Happy sewing! x Teje
I said 'tweet'!
ReplyDelete'Fabricworm' is so wonderful and full of adorable fabrics! In the beginning of my long wish list are 'Man's Best Friend' (dogs) and 'Sailor Kitty' (cats). They are soooooooo cute!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic giveaway! I've coveted both lines of fabric for a while, since the second one came out. I would probably use the yellow for binding unless the baby's room is painted the same color. Then maybe I'd use charcoal.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving Out To Sea at the moment!
ReplyDeleteI would probably go with a solid binding. Not sure what colour though....
ReplyDeleteTweeted! https://twitter.com/Waves81/status/238248834755592192
ReplyDeleteBound in white (gasp!) or grey, with a gentle stippley kinda FMQ around the borders of the "pictures" and some hand quilting to highlight features of the "pictures".
ReplyDeleteCrafty Chloe, thou art a busy little girl,
ReplyDeleteGoing from project to project with such twirl!
I love Little Kukla by Suzy Ultman! Such a sucker for babushkas!
ReplyDeleteLiberty and Bella, coming soon, Oh My...
ReplyDeleteBest clean up the sewing room, it's a sty
My inclination is to bind the WIP in lemon or gray solid
ReplyDeleteMy favorite upcoming line is Bloomsbury Garden by Liberty, I like Chicopee right now and Field Study
ReplyDeleteI may have got the finishing line for your ode:
ReplyDelete"Oh, what a joy! Fabricworm, thou hast the best fabricporn!"
I hope my line is not too shabby:p
andri_chama(at)yahoo(dot)com
I suggest bringing more lemon colour to your quilt, maybe by using lemony binding?:) I dont quilt so I dont know much, oops sorry:p
ReplyDeleteandri_chama(at)yahoo(dot)com
I love itsy bitsy spider in gray colourway by Heather Ross:)
ReplyDeleteandri_chama(at)yahoo(dot)com
Your service is second to none
ReplyDeleteAnd now your job is done (until the next time!!)
Oh Fabricworm, thou generosity and Storyboek I doeth admire,
ReplyDeleteBut Quokka Quilts magic '400' is to what I do aspire.
Wow, gorgeous quilt! A striped binding would be nice, maybe in green and white? A white frame would also be nice, as would a yellow one. So many options! Thanks for the great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving Sweet Tea by Anthology
ReplyDeleteat the moment. Thanks!
My contribution
ReplyDeleteso off to fabricworm i go

ReplyDeleteThey have so many wonderful fabrics, the contest would be over by the time i made up my mind babscorbitt@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteI just found Once Upon A Time by Alexander Henry at Fabricworm. I love it. It would make a great wallah going for a little girl's room!
ReplyDeleteBarb@Witsend
The choice doth overwhelm me, the baby has a squirm, together we decide on precious fabric from Fabricworm! - at least I had a go ;)
ReplyDeleteIt's a really adorable quilt! I'd go with lemon binding and maybe some pale yellow fmq - leaves and flowers?
ReplyDeleteAMH Field Study - I'm seriously lusting after it!!
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty! I would bind it with either blue or yellow
ReplyDeleteI'm really loving out to sea right now!
ReplyDeleteHm, a couplet...
ReplyDeleteI spend so much time petting you, your purpose is quite lost.
Oh, fabricporn, I love you so, particularly at low cost!
I'm no Shakespeare, but it's 8:30AM and I've already been to the gym, so that's an acceptable excuse...right? ;) Thanks for the chance and congrats on 400 followers!
Suggestion for your WIP - simple quilting! The fabrics are wonderful that you wouldn't want to overwhelm them with complicated quilting, I wouldn't think. :)
ReplyDeleteFavorite on Fabriworm was really hard to choose! But my pick is Michael Miller's Ta dot FQ sample bundle. Just love those dots!
ReplyDeleteI like to rest on fabric hills
ReplyDeleteMy problem is
They keep adding to my bills!
(Sorry, this is probably the worst ever...!)
Hmmm.. Quilting? Would baptist fans be too busy?
ReplyDeleteDyslexia really is the pits,
ReplyDeleteIt makes my rhymes all come out shit...
Loving the top, hmm, maybe quilt the main bits to make the scenes pop a bit?
ReplyDeleteAs for the fabric, it's a toss up between the Mod basics and the Kei dots...
ReplyDeleteI think I would bind the quilt in that yellow color you used in it to draw more of the yellow out.
ReplyDeleteI am really wanting some Chicopee right now.
ReplyDeleteLove your Storyboek quilt! Thanks for linking up with WIP Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteTo quilt the hanging I would definitely outline the cute little motifs, then perhaps a loopy meander over the rest. The binding would look adorable if it was the orange with the little pearls. It would really pop against a yellow wall.
ReplyDeleteA light blue polka dot might be nice for the binding.
ReplyDeleteI love the new momo oh deer patterns
ReplyDeleteI twitted it...
ReplyDeletehttps://twitter.com/CherylBrickey1/status/238371941554216960
Fabricworm's fabric is so very sweet
ReplyDeleteI will make a quilt for a neightbor I will greet
okay not so good, but I did try...
HI! MY FAVORITE COLLECTION OF FABRIC WORM'S IS "WALK IN THE WOODS"! SUCH A NEAT SET OF FABRICS!
ReplyDeleteTHANKS FOR SHARING!
msstitcher1948@yahoo.com
HI! WOULDN'T JUMBO WHITE RIC RAC IN THE SIDE SEAM BE CUTE?
ReplyDeleteTHANKS FOR SHARING!
msstitcher1948@yahoo.com
"O how I love thy fabrics soft
ReplyDeleteOrdering enough to fill my loft."
msstitcher1948@yahoo.com
I love a good red binding, but for your WIP, I think that binding in white or gray would be best. Bty, that quilt is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteYou know Im a Fabricworm junkie,
ReplyDeletemy taste is rather funky,
From Camp Sur to Crab Shack,
Buying black is just plain whack.
For the binding and backing I always choose the color used least for binding and the 2nd least color used for the backing. Its all about the contrast.
ReplyDeleteHands Down my fav line is CAMP SUR! I cannot wait for this fabric to come out to make curtains for my vintage camper!
ReplyDeleteA couplet for you:
ReplyDeleteAnd dare I bring to my abode,
The trucks and flow'rs of Madrona Road.
I love Fabricworms custom bundles, and Madrona Road by Violet Craft, and Commute for Birch Fabrics, and...
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway!
That quilt top is so cute! My suggestion? Checkerboard border! I love them and there is a checkerboard border on almost everything I make. That is just how I roll... ;)
ReplyDeleteLove it!
Also that bundle looks awesome! Thanks for a chance or four to win it!
(My addition to your ode)
ReplyDeleteHowever as I end it I would say just one thing more,
I love this wonderous fabricporn as I've loved nothing before.
:D
Right now I'm coveting 2 different bundles over at Fabricworm.
ReplyDeleteEchino Decoro, Gothic. I just love them!
Also the Michael Miller Little Elephants. So adorably cute!
I love scrappy bindings but I also think the smoke would look nice and tie the whole wall hanging together. It looks so fun. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteOh Fabricworm you are so cruel,
ReplyDeleteyou stock more fabric, each one a jewel.
To pick just one, how can I ever.
I hide the Visa, no one's the wiser.
Right now I'm wanting some chicopee. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteAfter reading your post,I checked out their site and got some Little Kukla and small Riley Blake chevrons, so those would be my favorites!
ReplyDeleteOh I think that your WIP is screapming for a scrappy binding of the scraps left over from the quilt.
ReplyDeleteFor the line that is my favorite from fabricworm I think I have to go with commute by jay-cyn designs. It's just too cute with all the things that go in it!
ReplyDeleteTo add to your wonderful Ode to Fabricporn...
ReplyDeleteOh Fabricporn my day is lost to staring at the screen.
My cart so full from all my clicks, it's bordering obscene!
Thy fabric line is so divine
ReplyDeleteI only wish it could be all mine
I think the binding would be nice a darker gray. Like a frame.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your follower milestone!!!
Second time around! Some whimsical quilting would look great on this quilt.
ReplyDeleteSecond time around - Sly Woods is one of my favourite!
ReplyDeleteFabricworm is my happy place, always puts a smile on a grumpy face. A bit lame but there you go! Thanks for the lovely giveaway
ReplyDeleteFor quilting, I'd go with a simple echo quilting just outside each seamline - the pattern is so lovely I think the quilting shouldn't compete with it & the gorgeous fabric too much.
ReplyDeleteMy current favourite fabric line at Fabricworm is Chicopee by Denyse Schmidt, though I'm only dreaming about it as I'm on a serious fabric diet! Congrats on the 400 followers, here's to the next 400.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you had fun playing with this. I'm like that with the ghastlies - stockpiling it up as I get my greedy little hands on it, but haven't started using it yet.
ReplyDeleteAs to binding, I think binding it in that same yellow you've used would look really good.
I like Michael Miller's Tweetie Pie
ReplyDeleteI tweeted:
ReplyDeletehttps://twitter.com/nalaxu/status/238583203248627712
And now with my poem and quilt complete,
ReplyDeleteI find it is time to take my seat.
How about binding it with one of the colors that you didn't use in the quilt?
ReplyDeleteI just can't choose a favourite , but in order to answer the question to win the prize I'm in love with Sarah Jane's Out to sea fabric line. Thanks !
ReplyDeleteTo finish off the baby quilt I would bind it in the solid yellow that you've used ....but if the walls are lemon then I would bind it in grey or the off white color in the storyboek blocks background color.
ReplyDeleteThanks !
I'm really loving Mint Blossom, Down Under, Outback Ivory
ReplyDeleteRight now.
I would bind it with a solid...probably the yellow.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite line at fabricworm is Chicopee by Denyse Schmidt. There are photos on their blog which are inspiring.
ReplyDeleteBind it with a gray solid, use a white backing since is a wall hanging, quilt the blocks in the ditch with extra batting/trapunto around the green tree, main animal and main person in each scene. I like the idea of a narrow yellow vertical border to give some definition to the wall hanging and match the one you made horizontally. I cannot see the colors well so this is a rough suggestion.
ReplyDeleteThy mermaids, horses, and windmills are so fine
ReplyDeleteAnd Storyboek reminds me of Once Upon A Time!
Here's my rhyming couplet.
Love your storyboek quilt! Hmmm How about some contrast binding using a navy blue solid or perhaps a grey solid.
ReplyDeleteI love Sarah Jane's "Out to Sea" range that Fabricworm stocks
ReplyDeleteAnd here's a (naff) wee rhyming couplet for you...
ReplyDeleteMy creditcard I hide before I fill my cart,
But it just doesn't help- I know my details off by heart!
Oh fabric worm it is no wonder
ReplyDeletethat I have hours to ponder
all those fabrics, oh my dear,
makes my wallet empty, I fear!
Hope that is what you were asking for. As english is not my mother language it is quite hard to make rhymes up. But it was fun and I love those fabrics! Cute!
Oh I love : Heather Mulder Peterson, Seaside Cottage! Thanks so much!
ReplyDelete......
ReplyDeletebut one more thing, before I go, I really have to say,
This fabricporn from Fabricworm has brightened up my day!!!! :-)
I think that the grey would be the perfect backing-- and if you have enough of the red with dots-- it would be perfect cut on the diagonal for binding. :-)
ReplyDeleteI love the Heather Mulder Peterson, Seaside Cottage line! (among hundreds of others! ;-)
ReplyDeleteI tweeted! :-) https://twitter.com/GwenWindham/status/239331692953886721
ReplyDeleteI really like A Walk In The Woods. They are so cute. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteI blogged about your giveaway today. Here's the link.
ReplyDeletehttp://maxinegiveaways.blogspot.com/2012/08/vintage-holiday-qal_25.html
Since the walls are yellow, I would go with a solid Kona gray to frame the quilt. Cute!
ReplyDeleteIt's time to quilt, skipping as I go
ReplyDeleteThank you Fabric Worm for letting me have so much fun to sew.
I would look for a binding with a stripe that has those colors or black/white maybe? As I'm terrible for finishing, I'd do better to help you pick fabrics for a start! :) Love the colors and layout--and the red print at the top/bottom--adds definite punch!
ReplyDeleteI just spotted the Camp Sur line and I love it! I have a thing for vintage trailers and this fabric is so cute! I think I really NEED this :)
ReplyDeleteI would quilt your master piece with straight lines. But that's just me, because I work on a older machine that does not do free motion quilting!
ReplyDeleteOde to Fabricporn....
ReplyDeleteAnother fabric store to adore!
So many lines, please send me a sign!
I think that you could bind it with a grey and white spot fabric or just a plain grey.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite line from Fabricworm is Oh Deer.
ReplyDeleteOde to Fabricworm:
ReplyDeleteThy site is clean and clear and so very easy to use,
All those little fabric thumbnails are my quilting muse
But let me say, just one more thing, Fabricworm, you make my spirits sing!
ReplyDeleteI just bought some of the Heather Ross Nursery Versery. LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteI would use some solids in the same colorway and maybe a few of the prints you used for the borders around the blocks and make a pieced backing. I'd bind it with either a solid or a small print.
ReplyDeleteThat's a seriously cute wallhanging :) I think binding incorporating either some yellow or that lovely green would work well. I'd have to see the green to be sure, though - it might end up looking too Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI think my favourite line at Fabric Worm is the Riley Blake Small Chevrons :)
ReplyDeleteI would definitely add some more yellow. I think some outline quilting around the little landscapes with a background fill behind them. Some Stitch in the Ditch and then a simple design in the block borders.
ReplyDeleteI love Storyboek 2.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the other posters. There is just not enough yellow. I prefer prints to solids, so I would choose a print for the binding. Maybe something pokadot?
ReplyDeleteOh delightful fabric, let me caress thee with mine eye,
ReplyDeleteFor alas, I must cut thee soon and so we shall say goodbye.
Maybe could use some of that creamy yellow for the binding. Or a pale pink that picks out the color of the little windmills!
ReplyDeleteI tweeted the giveaway: https://twitter.com/TheBookPantry/status/239843398691987456
ReplyDeleteMy favorite line is actually the Storyboek collection. So pretty.
ReplyDeleteTweet!

Seaside Cottage by Heather Mulder Peterson. My fellow Minnesotan - it would be fun to have some of her fabric.
ReplyDeleteI love fabric
ReplyDeleteI am now an addict
Pathetic, I know.
I gave my opinion the other night via text - so I'm counting that as my entry for chance #2. ;)
ReplyDelete(I know I've missed chance #1 but, honestly, can you picture me rhyming?? Dog, hog, bog...)
Favourite Fabricworm line? As in just one? Oh man, you make it hard! Ok, I'll stick with one of my all time favourite designers and say Grand Hotel by Jenean Morrison. :)
ReplyDeleteRight now, I'm crushing on the Dia de los Muertos bundle at Fabricworm
ReplyDeleteMy ode to Fabric couplet...
ReplyDeleteSpots and stripes, I love them best,
Hearts and flowers don't pass the test.
Little cute prints with animals and bugs,
Fill my fabric heart with hugs.
Choosing fabric can be terribly tricky,
Especially when the choices are oh so pretty.
Hi Laura,
ReplyDeleteHow about some dotty binding, bringing out a couple of the colours in your quilt? It's lovely :-)
Bev x
I've tweeted it - my first ever tweet! Hope I got it right :-)
ReplyDeleteHughie has picked out Tim and Beck's Bungle Jungle as his favourite line... Does that count, Laura??
ReplyDeleteAn Ode to Fabric
ReplyDeleteLuscious, soft, lovely and sweet,
And as many colours and styles as you may ever want to meet,
A parcel in the post office can make my day,
When it contains new fabric with which I can play.
I think skinny side borders in the yellow and then grey - especially if you can find the same shade of grey you used with polka dots - for the binding.
ReplyDeleteMichael Miller's Gnome for the Holidays is ultra cute!
ReplyDeleteMichael Miller's Gnome for the Holidays is ultra cute!
ReplyDeleteI know a quilting quokka named Laura
ReplyDeleteMiss her blog and your life will be poorer
What she does with this nursery fabric
Is delightful and quite damned near magic
So "Follow" her now and confess you too adore her!
Well I love any thing pat Bravo designs, but my heart is with the Nursery Versery...its magical!
ReplyDeleteBack it in Mustard. . . . . trust me... you need to cover up Bub's little back end disasters :(
ReplyDeleteMy grandkids would be love to see the fox on the toadstool, and the underwater scene thrown in for good measure.
ReplyDeleteMy Inner Fabric Goddess would quiver with so much pleasure, if this Fabricporn became my treasure.
I would lightly stipple around the white, bind in lightest yellow and hand quilt around the darkest seam lines. Love it
ReplyDeleteMy favourite line is definitely Heather Ross' new 'Nursery Versery' - and I love their service too.
ReplyDeleteFor three little pigs to have built their houses
ReplyDeleteand have them come crashing down upon the mouses
while incy wincy was washed down the drain
Oh Heather Ross you have enchanted me again!
I have put a link to your giveaway on my Blog, about to do the same on my craftandquilting.com.au facebook page
ReplyDeleteAs to the binding choice - I would choose a solid - either dark grey or that pale blue.
ReplyDeleteI love the Little Kukla line by Suzy Ultman the most, there are too many to choose from!
ReplyDeleteIt's such a pretty quilt! I would suggest binding it in the white (off white?) and then some nice straight line hand quilting to emphasise the prints. It's just lovely!
ReplyDeleteSuch a fabulous giveaway!!! I blogged it over here: http://prettybobbins.blogspot.com/2012/08/a-bit-of-this-and-bit-of-that.html
ReplyDeleteblogged your give away too at http://findingfifth.blogspot.com.au/2012/08/give-aways-aplenty.html
ReplyDeleteMy favourite line at the fabricworm would have to be alegria for cloud9 organic at the moment. LOVE it!
ReplyDeletefabric fabric

ReplyDeleteI love Marguerite by stitch studio. Congratulations on 400+ followers. Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI like the yellow in the quilt as the binding.
ReplyDeleteHere goes nothing:
ReplyDeleteThat fabric's so cute, I love it so much.
I'd use it to make bags, pillows, and such.
I think a scrappy binding would like great! Congrats on 400!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite line at Fabricworm right now is Nursery Versery.
ReplyDeleteMaybe a dark gray binding?
ReplyDeletewinterwrens at gmail dot com
Ok, here's my added line for your Ode -
ReplyDeleteAnd let us mention Storyboek and other organic lines
Before we head to our crafty rooms to cut and stitch and bind!
In all honesty my favourite fabric line is Storyboek! I've been eyeing it off for months now but just haven't jumped and bought! Would LOVE a bundle!
ReplyDelete
