Well, it's finished. :) And a very nice looking quilt it is too if I do say so myself. I'm wondering about calling it 'Water for Elephants' as it is coinciding with the film being released here in Australia and, more importantly, it features elephants and has a watery theme.I couldn't decide how to quilt it and ended up doing a combination of straight lines (shadow and in the ditch) and free-motion quilting in the top and bottom borders. I LOVED how the zigzag FMQ in the yellow worked out. The circles and loops in the aqua are not as great (easier to FMQ straight it seems) but if you're not a perfectionist and don't know much about quilting (and what that section SHOULD look like!) it looks fantastic.
I'm really pleased with this as my first 'improv' quilt. It will be off to its new owner in a couple of weeks. I think I'm gonna miss this one...Oh, and as my parents have stolen my camera (it's ok, I know where they are, and I've stolen their car in return - I think I've got the better deal), I got my lovely friend Brad to take this photo with his Nikon SLR. :) I had to download and wrestle with Picassa to get to see the pics, and it allowed me to play with them a little too. I'm liking the caption. :)

looks awesome!
