Crafternoon tea

On Sunday afternoon, I had three lovely quilty friends over for a Craftenoon tea.
My House was clean last week - Sorry you missed it
They were duly warned.

I cooked Apple and walnut muffins,Cherry almond tart and Apple and date cake with crunchy coconut topping. That's right, three visitors and three types of cake. We tried all of them.

We made up some mugrugs for an upcoming stall, and did show and tell of quilts.

Patches the  quiltslut quilthog quiltdog quickly made himself comfortable.

I had sent Bev a link to Rhianon's tutorial on 3D flowers and she used it to make me this pretty brooch as a birthday present.

And how cool is this card? Tilt it one way and you have this guy:
 Tilt it another and...
Eeek! Is kinda like the front and back of some of my quilts!

But what a lovely afternoon. Must stitch-n-bitch (as Jodie calls it) more often!

Crafternoons (or days) are great, and one thing I miss after moving here.

  3. Love, love, love that sign! I think I may have to steal that idea...especially after scrambling around today to tidy up my place before a meeting. Also a great name - Crafternoons - fun!

Yippee - you're commenting! I _love_ comments. :) I've had so much spam lately though that I'm limiting to registered users for a bit to see if that works... If you're a friend, you can find me on Facebook and comment that way if you have trouble.
