Snail mail!

I bent down to get my purse from the footwell of the passenger seat as I arrived at work this morning, straightened up and - SNAP! My necklace caught on the handbrake and broke in four places. What a great start to a Monday! So it was nice to get home and find a parcel from Pink Castle Fabrics.
 Yay!
A Bella white solids jelly roll. How much do I love cutting sashing? Not a whole heap, I'll tell you that. So delighted to get my hands on this lovely.

The other two are.... umm... well, the cut goes through the name of the light grey fabric that looks a bit like Alexander Henry Heath. I'm pretty sure it's not. It's made by "-s Fabrics". Does that help?

The other is part of Reunion by Sweetwater and makes a lovely addition to my text fabrics. Don't ask why I'm collecting text fabrics. I have no idea. I just had to give these lonely little lines a home. I know, I'm so kind and giving...

Have you been giving any fabrics a home, for no particular reason?

  1. boo hiss, sorry about your necklace :(
The fabrics look yummy and I hate sashing too, I get bored pretty easily!!
I have an urge to collect fabric text too - I just love but so far I've managed to resist!
If you have any lonely fabrics that you'd be willing to swap I'm having another linky party, you might be able to put a call out for more text fabric too!

  2. I used to get random fq's all the time..."I need to build my stash", which was true, up until the point in time that I was stashing more than I was using! haha
I find lately that I am just getting the fabric I need for specific projects. And then I am planning more projects so that I can buy more fabric. And...I'm still not getting enough done to actually make this way any better!

  3. That stinks about your necklace!

I love the fabrics you picked up. I don't really pick up fabrics for no reason... but I did just get my hands on some of Aneela Hoey's A Walk In the Woods to use in a quilt at my church's auction. It's so cute!

  4. I always wondered why people would buy a jr all the same colour - but now it makes sense. And for straight binding too. Will have to view pre-cuts with a fresh eye. I like print fabrics too. I love to read and love to use a good, healthy vocabulary. If I can't confound people now and again, what's the point of speaking?

  6. This is the voice of your conscience speaking ... what part of the fabric diet is that snail mail? Bad girl!

Now this is the voice of your fabricholic friend, good purchase!

Bad luck about the necklace, I'd go shopping for a new one at the weekend if I were you ... that wasn't the voice of your conscience either ;)

  8. Seriously? More fabric? Didn't you tell me you're trying to cut back? Am I going to have to come out there to host an intervention for you??

  9. I will guess your mystery fabric is "Marcus." Only one I could think of that ends in "s."

Oh, and about giving fabric a home, there are many that are no longer homeless, but live with me!

Yippee - you're commenting! I _love_ comments. :) I've had so much spam lately though that I'm limiting to registered users for a bit to see if that works... If you're a friend, you can find me on Facebook and comment that way if you have trouble.
