Two Aurifil Winners

For the winner of the first set of Aurifil threads, Mr Random chose number 42, but someone's computer had triplicated their comment, so I had to count two further... to Ms Katy 'Kermit' Cameron of The Littlest Thistle. Katy hasn't hand quilted and has just started with FMQing, so these should get her off to a good start. If I had thought ahead, I would have got Katy to bribe me with one of her gorgeous teddy bears to rig the voting, but dammit, too late now. She has the luck of the, erm, Scottish.

For the other set of Aurifil threads, I asked Australians and Kiwis to guess what the second pillow after my 'Create' one would say. (You can see I've got a bit further with the Typography Challenge and my Aurifil testing. Unfortunately no further with my photography skills).

There were some great ideas - Create Mayhem was one of my favourites (Danny again - should I send Danny a pack for keeping on coming up with winning ideas, even though she is geographically challenged?), and Create Mischief another. But Tracey, a fellow Perthling, of The Peony Teacup actually hit the nail on the head with 'Create Joy'.  There has been so much negative stuff going on that I decided to make this my mantra this year. Instead of 'woe is me' or 'why do these things keep happening?', I decided I need to create my own joy. So that is the goal. I'm not as far along as I'd have liked, either with the cushion cover or the joy creation, but Missy Melody is a wriggly little bundle of fun and more of a Cuddle-ier than a Cavalier, so she's helping out with the project already.
Congrats girls! Send me your addresses and enjoy your Aurifil!

PS I HAVEN'T forgotten the FMQAL - I had an exciting guest post but the video has not made it to YouTube yet so I'm holding off on posting...

  3. I may live in Scotland, but I'm Irish, and you know it was St Paddy's Day yesterday, I was obviously parked at the end of the rainbow when Mr RNG was churning away ;o)

Melody looks lovely and settled already (and I think her bed is more luxurious than mine is!)

  4. Wow! It's beautiful!!!! How do you move around so smoothly along the flowers and such. I love this style, very colorful and lovely and has such a cozy feeling of home.

Yippee - you're commenting! I _love_ comments. :) I've had so much spam lately though that I'm limiting to registered users for a bit to see if that works... If you're a friend, you can find me on Facebook and comment that way if you have trouble.
