Poetry in (free)motion

Oh my goodness, the poetry you guys came up with for the Fabricworm giveaway... I laughed so much I just HAD to share it! I couldn't quite fit the last couple in, so apologies for that but I did fairly well collating them all.  I'm going to be mean and make you scroll till the end of the post to find out the winner. Hope Random.org picks a poet!
So here are your contributions to the original poem...

Oh Fabricworm, thou generosity and Storyboek I doeth admire,

But Quokka Quilts magic '400' is to what I do aspire.
Circles show off FabricWorm's vast and great selection,

The modern fabric options belying a certain predilection.

Thy fabricworm defined is a devotee of fabric

I've met thy rule and filled my entire walk-up attic.

From Fabricworm and Storyboek a bundle of fat quarters

To turn into a magic quilt to warm our sons and daughters

Crafty chloe, art thou the cutest

Thy mermaids, horses, and windmills are so fine

And Storyboek reminds me of Once Upon A Time!

Or is it scamper, thy claim on the term it disputest.

Crafty Chloe, thou art a busy little girl,
Going from project to project with such twirl!
But one more thing 'bout Heather Ross (she really is divine)

Nursery Versery probably is her bestest ever line!

For three little pigs to have built their houses
and have them come crashing down upon the mouses
while incy wincy was washed down the drain
Oh Heather Ross you have enchanted me again!

Thy beauteous colours of pink, purple and a touch of green,
These colours assembleth to form a quilt fit for a queen.

Ah fabric, fabric, I do adore

You make sewing never a chore

Fabricworm, Fabricworm, you are my joy
Your offerings delight every girl and boy

Liberty and Bella, coming soon, Oh My
Best clean up the sewing room, it's a sty
so off to fabricworm i go

this im sure i know

to get my addiction fix

of all my favorite picks

with prices that wont break the bank
fabricworm i must thank

With prices so great

my addiction i dont hate

i know i wont go broke

but have more fabric in which to stroke

The choice doth overwhelm me, the baby has a squirm,
together we decide on precious fabric from Fabricworm!

I spend so much time petting you, your purpose is quite lost.

Oh, fabricporn, I love you so, particularly at low cost!

I like to rest on fabric hills

My problem is
, They keep adding to my bills!

Dyslexia really is the pits,

It makes my rhymes all come out shit... (I think you can guess this is Katy...)

Fabricworm's fabric is so very sweet

I will make a quilt for a neighbor I will greet

O how I love thy fabrics soft

Ordering enough to fill my loft.

And dare I bring to my abode,

The trucks and flow'rs of Madrona Road.

You know Im a Fabricworm junkie,
my taste is rather funky,

From Camp Sur to Crab Shack,
Buying black is just plain whack.

Oh Fabricworm you are so cruel,

you stock more fabric, each one a jewel.

To pick just one, how can I ever.

I hide the Visa, no one's the wiser.

Oh Fabricporn my day is lost to staring at the screen.

My cart so full from all my clicks, it's bordering obscene!

Thy fabric line is so divine

I only wish it could be all mine
Fabricworm is my happy place,
always puts a smile on a grumpy face.

My creditcard I hide before I fill my cart,

But it just doesn't help- I know my details off by heart!
Oh fabric worm it is no wonder

that I have hours to ponder

all those fabrics, oh my dear,

makes my wallet empty, I fear!

Hope that is what you were asking for.

It's time to quilt, skipping as I go

Another fabric store to adore!

So many lines, please send me a sign!
Thy site is clean and clear and so very easy to use,

All those little fabric thumbnails are my quilting muse

Oh delightful fabric, let me caress thee with mine eye,

For alas, I must cut thee soon and so we shall say goodbye. That fabric's so cute, I love it so much.
I'd use it to make bags, pillows, and such.

Spots and stripes, I love them best,

Hearts and flowers don't pass the test.

Little cute prints with animals and bugs,

Fill my fabric heart with hugs.

Choosing fabric can be terribly tricky,

Especially when the choices are oh so pretty.
Luscious, soft, lovely and sweet,

And as many colours and styles as you may ever want to meet,

A parcel in the post office can make my day,

When it contains new fabric with which I can play.
Oh, what a joy! Fabricworm, thou hast the best fabricporn!"

Your service is second to none

And now your job is done

And so for now I bid adieu.
Fabric to fondle in every hue.
But let me say, just one more thing,
Fabricworm, you make my spirits sing!

However as I end it I would say just one thing more,

I love this wonderous fabricporn as I've loved nothing before.
......
but one more thing, before I go, I really have to say,

This fabricporn from Fabricworm has brightened up my day!!!! :-)

And now with my poem and quilt complete,

I find it is time to take my seat.

Ok that's it! Random.org had it's own ideas and chose number 88, which is ... [drumroll...]

Linda's QuiltMania!
Linda said: "To quilt the hanging I would definitely outline the cute little motifs, then perhaps a loopy meander over the rest. The binding would look adorable if it was the orange with the little pearls. It would really pop against a yellow wall."

Coincidentally, that's pretty much what I did, but you'll have to wait till a TGIFF to see it.  Congrats Linda, I'm so jealous! I will send FabricWorm your email address.

Yippee - you're commenting! I _love_ comments. :) I've had so much spam lately though that I'm limiting to registered users for a bit to see if that works... If you're a friend, you can find me on Facebook and comment that way if you have trouble.
