While gossip was caught up on and amazing nibbles consumed, the following 'classes' progressed:
- Bag making 101;
- Rulers Cutters and boards 101; and
- Fusible Applique 101.
New student M1 has just become a first-time grandmother and wanted to do a baby quilt in the lovely Bazooples theme. All cutting was achieved (whoohoo!) and a preliminary layout done. This is what we came up with.
Piecing to be done, applique additions to be decided, and quilt pattern to be pondered... Any ideas?
M2 started tracing the 1001 pieces for the wall hanging of Noah's Ark (nothing if not ambitious!) and learnt to blanket stitch on one of my Doggy Quilt for Queensland blocks.
C1, inbetween being the hostess with the mostess, managed to almost finish off her first bag. :) Looks lovely!
We're taking a break for Australia Day next week, but I can't wait to see how far C2 has gone with her brilliant butterfly quilt!
Oh, and I'm desparately seeking a McKenna Ryan quilt kit having fallen totally in love with www.pineneedles.com Preferably a small one to start with to see if I can do it!

Yippee - you're commenting! I _love_ comments. :) I've had so much spam lately though that I'm limiting to registered users for a bit to see if that works... If you're a friend, you can find me on Facebook and comment that way if you have trouble.
